xj steering

I have a 92 cherokee with 32 inch tires. On the trail I am haveing a hard time steering at time It happens about 65%of the time. On the street and on asphalt I can turn them fine most of the time only 20% of the time is fine. It only happens at that time when I am trying to turn from a stop.Any answers

my scout does the same thing. it is because the power steering pump is not putting out a good pressure. maybe you need to flush the system or maybe a new pump is in order. i am going to get a new pump one of these days.

A new pump, flush and installing a p/s cooler should fix it right up
