Trails 4x4 vs Fire

This weekend a buddy of mine and me plan to go 4x4 however, with the fire can anyone tell me if the trails in FairPlay are currently Open or Closed? Around Memorial Day Mosquito Pass (FR438) still had around 4 feet of snow. Can anyone tell me if it open or Closed?

Also, has anyone had good results with a preformance chip added to there TJ?

This much I can tell you. ALL of Pike National Forest is closed and all BLM land in Park county, which Fairplay lies. So this pretty much closes all trails on the East side of the Divide. This is from the Forest Service directly.

Click on the button with "closed to all recreation" and you can read the closure order.

Click on "Maps and Brochures" in the list on the left and you can see the area involved. Mosquito pass is in the Leadville and South Park ranger districts.

I talked to the Arapaho Forest visitor's center. Trails in other forests are open, but ALL fires are banned. Here is a link to a list of other forests:
