We have not had any snow up here in about 2 weeks. I have not been up to Twin Cone yet this year but you can see snow. You should be able to get upto at least tree line.

i have been on that road on labor day and still hit huge drifts just past the gates for the private property. does the road climb the north or west face of the mountain. i never paid much attention to my compass up there.
well twin cone is still up in the air. i may be getting a couple of other jeeps together too. however i am going to have to play it by ear. It might be alittle to far to be away from the wife with the baby on the way. i'll post friday night if im going to make it. BlackZJ-RealSUV & lmayoras do you all still want to go? if we dont we might try to find a place closer to town if you have any ideas...and if anyone wants to get something together or come along? i really want to go to the twin cone though...

By the looks of the map here: http://www.4x4trails.net/db_view_trail.php?trailNum=172
It looks like the trail runs up the south face in a valley. (Of course, I've never managed to run the trail so I'm just going by the map.)
