Iron Chest Rocks

Are the rocks back on Iron Chest yet? There was a post awhile back that the rocks where going to be returned soon.

YES!!
The work at Iron Chest mine has been completed and the rocks have been replaced. The boulder field is longer and more difficult than it was before. It took us 2 hours to get 5 Jeeps and one Bronco through the boulders. All vehicles were locked front and rear except for one Jeep who was locked in the rear only. The Bronco broke a front u-joint. This is a fun trail!

This is good news! I ran Grizzly Lake in May or June and I was told by someone in my group that it looked like it was being worked on. When did it open? I hear that the trail has already been adopted, sounds like fun.

Anybody have pictures and know what the conditions are like now. I may be able to go next weekend.

I was up there in August, the trail was still stripped but has obviously has changed. Ridge Runners out of Pueblo adopted the trail and, the last I herd, are responsable for the work. Glad to here the trail is up and running again.
