Iron Chest

Me and some buddies are planning a trip to Iron Chest. We've never been there and would like to get some info. Couple weeks ago we did Blanca peak But we didn't go all the way to the top because there was some small signs that said no vehicles right past the first lake. Does any one know if it is true or perhaps some punk hikers pulled them out of the treeline and put them in the middle of the trail. If that is the case then we will be going back soon to complete the entire trail.
